I love the build up of the attraction.

I love that something so simple as a touch of the wrist or the brush of hands holds such meaning in regency romance.

What will you find here?

In this little corner of the webosphere you'll find my rantings, ravings, and reviews of the romance novels that I'm reading at the moment.

What do I like?

Aside from the historical romance bit, I love reading novels about spinsters (I like to consider myself one!), widows, and married women. Those seem to be the most emotionally touching stories, at least for me.

There's nothing I love more than an estranged married couple who finds their way back to each other. When it's done well, there's so much emotional depth and the payoff is especially rewarding. It's not two people who have fallen in love and married riding happily off into the sunset. It's two people who have struggled through knowing that happily-ever-afters aren't all they're cracked up to be and that real love takes work. I love it.

My favorite books fall into one of two categories. They make me laugh out loud through out the whole story and gigglesnort, which is where you laugh so hard you literally snort. Or they make me cry multiple times. If an author can bring out those things in me, then I am a fan for life.

A little bit about me!

I'm 27 going on 40, I act way older than I am. I'm single and plan to stay that way, very happily so! I love to spend my before-bed-time reading and relaxing. It is the best part of my day.
